    Who Are America's Uninsured?

This Kaiser Family Foundation report should be required reading for anyone seriously interested in the health care debate and the uninsured.

It provides important details about who actually is without health insurance in America.  While much in the report is common sense (the poor are less likely to be insured than the non-poor), there are a few less obvious findings, such as 8 in 10 uninsured nonelderly Americans are employed, with 7 of those 10 in families in which one member of the family has a full-time job.

    Check it out.

When something is as worthy of reading as it's impartiality reporting/investigation regarding "Kaiser Family Foundation Report" it usually get's sandbaged by the political pundits in power! You see it benefits both sides of the isle to ignore such a report, which gives creedance to the age-old addage of "Honor amongst Theives",interesting find ,Brian. Thanks again for your good digging,...keeping them honest.

Brian, I'm confused. Wasn't SCHIP sold as a silver bullet to help solve the lack of coverage for children. Yet, here is a report that says it didn't work. And the solution is to pass legislation to fix it a second time? Or am I missing something? John P. Rochester, MN

Brian, I read it and the info is nice but it still doesn't address how many people don't have insurance who could. Or better yet, the people in the "gap" who can't afford it but aren't in the Medicaid loop. Aren't those really the people we are talking about? Let's figure out who those people are and expand Medicaid to help them...problem solved...and if people who make enough and choose not to...then they live at their on risk. And of course.....find a way to modify and regulate insurance and health care companies to control their costs. Forget keeping them from going up....bring em down. love ur work, gordon dukes greensboro, ga

You know at this point, I really can't say I'm against the National plan. I saw a compelling interview on CSPAN's Q & A on Sunday night with T.R. Reid. He's written a book entitled "The Healing of America", it looks like a worthwhile read. I will download the Kaiser report, thanks.
