    Connecticut Democracy Fail

Thanks to the Hartford Courant and Fail Blog for bringing this wonderful photo to our attention of members of the Connecticut state legislature playing solitaire and another on ESPN.com while their colleague speaks.

    ct congress fail

    The paper's caption:

House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., R-Norwalk, far right, speaks while colleagues play solitaire on their computers as the House convenes to vote on a new budget for the fiscal year in the Capitol, in Hartford, Conn., Monday, Aug., 31, 2009.

Bad enough, but worse that they are supposed to be working out a budget!   Pretty much speaks for itself.

gld

Perfectly understandable. That is a Republican talking. It is totally irrelevant-- whatever he says.

I think it speaks volumes to the elitism by the democrats. They don't care what others think, if you don't agree, verbatim, with their views you don't matter.

yea... well... the screen on the right is ESPN so it's no more productive than cards. Does anyone know what the other screens are? Does anyone know why these idiots should stay in office??
