    Pirates in Congress?

Liz Mac's discussion of the threatening letter two congressmen sent to health insurance companies asking for (already public) information about executive compensation, company retreats, etc made me think about this supposed pirate saying about improving morale:

    13040-Beatings-Navy

Since no health care executive is anywhere near being one of the top 10 paid CEOs.  #10 comes in at a cool $71 milllion vs. Cigna's CEO making 'only' $12 million (I say that tongue & cheek - that's still a hell of a lot of money).

And since no health insurer took any TARP or bailout money .. one wonders if this inquiry by Congressmen Waxman and Stupak is more of a pirate-like 'morale improver' than real concern over pay.

Someone once said "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." These folks have gone there. Time to get them out.

More Obama/Democrat Congress shredding of the Constitution. I wonder if Chuck E. Cheeseman and his cohorts realize that the 4th Amendment applies to them as well as police officers. Nah! Just as OSHA, Obamacare, etc. do not apply to Congress, neither must the Constitution.

the insurance companies are not required by law to respond to any of this inquisition by waxman and his gang. I recommend that the insurance companies tell waxman to stick his request where the sun does not shine. Waxman truly has short man syndrome(those in management know what I am referring to) and really resembles and reminds me of the rodent turned into a man in Harry Potter. The resemblance is truly amazing!!

We all deserve shoes right? I think athletic shoes are too expensive. Let's pull in the heads of Nike and Reebok. Makes as much sense as Congress' thinking.

ONLY MANUFACTURING WILL CREATE JOBS AND END DEPRESSION. CONGRESS AND WHITE HOUSE HAS NEGLECTED THE MANUFACTURING SINCE 20 YEARS AND HENCE WE HAVE A DEPRESSION. UNEMPLOYMENT, BANKRUPTCIES, HOUSING CRASH, AUTO FAILURE IS ALL DUE TO END OF MANUFACTURING. HOUSING, AUTO, BANKING INDUSTRIES ALL DEPEND ON THE JOBS AND REVENUE GENERATED MY MANUFACTURING. MANUFACTURING IS THE BACKBONE OF GDP. BAN IMPORTS FROM COUNTRIES WITH WAGES BELOW OUR MINIMUM WAGE. THE WORKERS IN OTHER NATIONS ARE STILL POOR AND OUR WORKERS ARE UNDER POVERTY AND UNEMPLOYED. THE THEORIES OF FREE TRADE HAVE FAILED AND DESTROYED OUR NATION. FREE TRADE HAS NOT HELPED TO UPLIFT THE POVERTY OF OTHER NATIONS AND HAS GOT OUR NATION IN A DEPRESSION. THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CHINA IS RICH AND SO IT THE POLITICIAN IN USA. THE MIDDLE CLASS IS STRUGGLING AND HELPLESS. DEVALUE THE FALSELY INFLATED DOLLAR TO HALF ITS CURRENT VALUE TO ALLOW EXPORTS AND END THE TRADE IMBALANCE. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY OUT NOW. STIMULUS, BAILOUT, HEALTHCARE REFORM - ALL HAVE PROVED TO BE WRONG. THEY ARE ONLY PROLONGING THE BIGGER DISASTER TO HAPPEN, "2ND GREAT DEPRESSION". WAKE UP AND REALIZE YOUR MISTAKES 'POLITICIANS'. I WROTE 4 MONTHS AGO TO WHITE HOUSE, CONGRESS AND HOUSE THAT THERE WILL ME MORE UNEMPLOYMENT, RIOTS AND RECESSION. IT HAS COME EXACTLY TRUE. BY DECEMBER UNEMPLOYMENT WILL GET WORSE. DEBT ON OUR NATION WILL DOUBLE. EXTREME RIOTS AND DEMONSTRATIONS WILL ERUPT. GOVT WILL GET LESSER TAXES AND WILL TEND TO FAIL. CHINA WILL

I am utterly amazed at the unbridled arrogance the Dems in congress are displaying. These bozos take the attitude that we are all dumb as dirt and need these super geniuses to make our decisions for us in all areas of our lives. We as Americans need to hit the restart button as this government is out of control. If it wasn't such a serious matter it would be amusing to sit back and see what they mettle in next. I am sick and alarmed as I watch this country blowup into something I don't recognize anymore. Wake up America.
