Thursday Stories: Was Ken Lewis Silenced; Bondholder Battles Over Chrysler & Mortgages; Comparing Recessions;

Ken Lewis silenced......first thing that popped into my head...so who else was muzzled? Which means we aren't getting full diclosure. Why would I want to invest in a market (or put money in a bank) where companies are forced to lie to their investors?

While everyone scratches their heads trying to figure out the economy, this is what I see from the new car dealership I work for: The Democrats'constituents can't buy, the other side can, but won't unless it's an absolute neccessity because they have no faith in the Administration, in Congress, and in the Senate. And as an arrogant Administration moves to try to get the economy going with massive bailouts and destruction of contract law, their other minions are working to destroy it with cap-and-trade, opening everyone, including the government, to global-warming lawsuits, and more idiocy like this. There is little coherence in this Administration and until there is, the folks that can spend and buy stuff are sitting on the sidelines waiting for the real face of government to show itself. I'm 59 and I have never lived in a time that so many had such little faith in their government.
