    More on the Lansing Speech

LIstening to Senator Obama's Lansing, Michigan speech .. bashing ExxonMobil as the poster child of 'big oil.'  Noted their profits and revenues multiple times.

One wonders if the Senator is aware that Exxon produces only about 3% of the world's oil. There is no company in the world producing 3% of anything that has control over the price of its goods.

It seems particularly sad that any politician gets more political mileage from bashing an American company that employs thousands of Americans than putting pressure on the countries that do control the supply.

Bashing just one company? Not surprised, whatever peopl want to hear for the moment. Tomorrow, it will be somthing new. Early on, I remember BO saying "If I'm elected, I'll bring ALL the troops home", then flipped over to sending more to Afghanistan. He rejected off-shore drilling and now recently said "he'll consider" it. Etc etc etc-flipping 4X what McCain does. Nancy Pelosi, simply put, is the "Newt Gingrich" of her party. This is all a joke, right? This is the Democratic approach to "fictional" TV? Two years of full control of Congress and this is what the Democrats are offering "us" (their customers)????? Hello ????

Now one wonders Brian why would Seantor Obama suddenly flip on offshore drilling? Frankly bashing a company doesn't get one anywhere. I heard his speech and to raid the strategic oil reserves to make profit is frankly stupid. It only shows his ineptness of economics. Even Speaker Pelosi said the samething which frankly those on the left are like so uncreative in thier political think. When it comes to off shore drilling both Obama and Pelosi are going to be hit with a tsumani of a wakeup call. Especially speaker Pelosi. Her candidate didn't help at all--frankly it only showed his naiveness on captilism and the narkets. By the way 51% of Californias do want drilling and the Madam Speaker I believe is going to step into hole and she's going to fall in it.
